What is often the first thing to get neglected in times of stress, trauma or change? The care of the physical self. While this is understandable, it’s also not helping you heal. I’d like to help you be so strong in your wellness practice that caring for the body is a go-to response to stress instead of an afterthought.
It is in caring for yourself deeply that you can find energy to continue to experience change, growth and healing in a meaningful way.
My wisdom is in teaching that if we consider our body as an integral player in the equation of personal growth and wellness — whether it’s chosen, or in response to a trauma — we acknowledge an avenue to true wellness.
All of these parts of the self that we experience? The mind, the emotions, the spiritual? They’re all connected and lived in by our bodies. We experience life through the body — it is our vessel. So the body must be cared for with intention in order to achieve wellness as a human. In tuning our instrument, we allow harmony amongst all the other parts of ourselves.”
